The Istituto Marangoni changes hands

The Milanese fashion school Istituto Marangoni, which has teaching branches in Paris and London as well, has undergone an ownership change. It has been assigned by the U.S. investment company Career Education Corporation to one of its counterparts: Providende Equity Partners. The amount of the transaction has not been made public.

The new owner specializes in private equity for the media and education sectors. The school is counting on the leader in this niche to "maximize its resources", according to Roberto Riccio, its executive director.

The Istituto Marangoni first opened in Milan in 1935, and later opened two other campuses in London and Paris.
